Endowment
The
Abraham Lincoln Association Board authorized the
establishment of an Endowment Fund in 1999 to support
scholarship and other projects. Initial work will
include support for
The
Papers of Abraham Lincoln to replace The
Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln and the revision
of Lincoln Day by Day as
The Lincoln Log.

Donors may make
tax-deductible gifts to the Endowment in other ways,
including the following:

Cash. |

Appreciated stock or
other securities. |

Real property. |
 |
Deferred or planned
gifts, including gifts by will. |

Residuary bequests could
designate (1) a specific amount or property, or (2)
a defined portion on percentage one's estate. |

Contingent gifts to the
ALA, should a named beneficiary pre-decease the
donor, including IRA benefits. |
 |
Charitable remainder
unitrusts or annuity trusts and charitable lead
trusts to enable a donor to retain an income flow
from the assets of a trust for life, often enhancing
the current income flow and gaining an immediate tax
deduction for property given to the ALA. |

Memorial gifts honoring
a relative or special friend. |
